Jarošovský Jura is a typical example of a real Bohemian lager from the Moravian Slovakia region in south east Czech Republic, near the Slovakian border. It is brewed traditionally from local ingredients (malt is sourced from local Kroměříž Malthouse), using decoction, open fermentation and long maturation in cellars at temperatures just below 1°C. Unusually, this is a single hopped beer, celebrating the famous Medium Early red Saaz hops. This, along with triple hopping, gives the beer a delicate bitterness that disappears from the palate at the right time, coupled with a pleasant full malt body.
