South Africa’s zesty twist on a Portuguese classic – a vibrant, easy-drinking white that shimmers with freshness.
Think peaches and citrus with a hint of something flinty. This South African white’s got a bit of a backstory. It’s made from a Portuguese grape, Fernão Pires, once used mostly for brandy. Now, thanks to some old vines way out in Worcester northeast of Cape Town, it makes a surprisingly fresh wine. Expect a burst of ripe peachiness and a crisp, dry finish. A fun discovery that’s well worth a try.
